Yes, Westies can do obedience, too!  They are clever enough to learn almost anything you are able to teach them.

Obedience Trials test a dog's ability to perform a set of exercises. In each exercise, the dog must score more than fifty percent (50%) of the possible points and must get a total score of at least 170 out of a possible 200 (to get a "leg" toward his title). After three legs, your dog will earn his first obedience title.

There are three levels at which your dog can compete and earn a title, and each is progressively difficult. At the first level, Novice, your dog earns a Companion Dog (CD) title. The second level (Open) results in a CDX title (Companion Dog Excellent). The final level, Utility, results in a Utility Dog (UD) title. The best of the best can then go on for more titles, such as OTCH (Obedience Trial Champion) or UDX (Utility Dog Excellent).
